Women’s Gymnastics USAG/USAIGC Information

 

 

1. PARTICIPANTS AND REGISTRATION FEES

 

All USA Gymnastics athlete members Levels 1-10/Open & Xcel and all USAIGC athlete members Copper-Premier are eligible to compete at the Harlem Invitational for individual and team titles.

Payment by credit card is accepted online.  Deferred payment is also available online.  Payments by check can be made payable to USA Sports Production (Harlem Invite on memo line) and mailed to P.O. Box 29185, Indianapolis, IN  46229.

 

Final registeration online or by mail is due by January 12th.  Any fees received after this date will be accessed a late fee.  A full refund will be given if cancelled in writing by January 19, 2018.  No refunds will be given after January 19, 2018.  Any roster changes after the refund deadline should be sent directly to lbarclay@usasportsproduction.com.

4. WOMEN’ GYMNASTICS COMPETITION FORMAT

 

The Harlem Invitational will consist of a modified capitol cup format depending on the session.  

 

MODIFIED CAPITOL CUP FORMAT:  Two (2) sets of equipment in the competition gym with no warm-up gym.  Flight 1 squads compete on one set and Flight 2 squads compete on the other set.  Timed warm-ups immediately precede competition on each event.

 

5. TEAM COMPETITION

 

Registration for the team competition is FREE.  All teams with 3 or more gymnasts per level will be automatically entered in the team competition.  Team rankings will be determined by the total of the top three (3) scores from each event. 

 

Team awards will be awarded to 1st to 3rd place teams for all sessions and all levels.  

 

6. AWARDS

 

ALL participants of the Harlem Invitational will receive an all-around medal and will be recognized on the awards stand.  Event placement awards will also be given for all levels.  Up to ten (10) places in each event in each age group will be awarded.  All medals awarded will have the event logo and individual placement information for each gymnast on the back.  Special 1st place AA awards will also be given.

 

7. MISCELLANEOUS COMPETITION DETAILS

 

    • All current rules of USA Gymnastics J.O. and Xcel Programs and current USAIGC rules will be used for each specific level of competition

 

    • Teams with more than 12 gymnasts per level will be split into 2 or more squads and possibly more than one session.  Additional coaches will be necessary.  Coaches may determine the split for each.  Please submit split by squad/session on team roster with final registration.

 

    • All competition equipment will be AAI. For equipment questions or information an AAI representative will be onsite.

 

    • A medical trainer will be available on site for tape, ice and medical support as needed.
